They are deputizing state and local officers. Whatever agency head that allows their manpower to be used for this complete buffoon but I’m sure it will be prevalent in urban areas.

This is a good article that gives thought to civil liberties infringement.

Some things I noted: Cops are checking for fit also. It’s a regulatory RULE not law which makes it even more scary. 3 year olds and up are required to have masks by the rule.

I’ve always considered the mask laws a grasp for power by the authoritarian left, but really today is the first time I see that the main intent is to dehumanize. I think the part about the kids having to wear them made the light bulb come on.

Like everything else, conservatives always just shrug their shoulders and go along with whatever shite they throw at us. Eveeyone knows how stupid it is, and hoe useless the masks are. Yet we all like good sheep, out the things on to avoid trouble.

If you want a quick gauge on who will be voluntarily handing over their freedoms when the government comes after speech and guns, take a walk around and see who all is still wearing masks and who isn't. The sad reality is about 99.9% of people who will be complying.

What a great hill for a LEO to take their stand on - a 4 year old whose mask is in below the nose . Lawsuits forthcoming

A minor point, but it is age 2 and up.
“ child under the age of 2 years” is exempt.

They could simply have ordered:

anyone traveling by any means (except by a private conveyance for non commercial use) whether getting on, during and getting off must wear a mask .

The private travel will probably be addressed later by the Borg.

I was almost late for work when I posted and didn’t catch that. That’s even crazier .

I don’t wear a mask anywhere except maybe in Wal Mart if they say something when I go in without it on

Nobody’s really requiring it where I live - not even our WalMart. Some venues where my daughter plays ball require it and that’s about the only time I wear one - just to get in the door

Masks make it very difficult to empathize with the people around us.

They also encourage us to be rude, if not cruel, to the people around us.

Makes you fell under control / enslaved, as well. I suspect that’s got a lot to do with it. It conditions people to say yes to every government infringement which will be needed for their new America.

I am one of those who was hoping, probably naively, that government wouldn't keep pushing this stuff on us, that these intrusions on civil liberty were going to be temporary.
But here they are, almost a year later, and they are doubling down on it.

Nobody in any institution is speaking out against it. We really are expected to comply with a perpetual emergency state.

Have they officially explained away the common sense (as I see it) worry that if you have a little bit of the virus, and you wear a mask that catches your breath and droplets, you will actually be increasing your viral load?

i can honestly say, i have only worn a mask to get into my gym (walk in take it off) and the 2-3 places i like to eat (walk in take it off). i live in mandeville.......so i go to rouses, home depot, total wine, ace hardware etc.......i do not wear a mask in any of those places, and have not been asked to at all. 1 person approached me, at total wine, and he asked, can i help you find anything in particular.......in which i responded, you have 10 year whistlepig, and he pointed me in that direction.
