And so it begins. Turn in your guns, even if it saves one life:
CNN

quote:
For the first time in decades, the director of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention -- the nation's top public health agency -- is speaking out forcefully about gun violence in America, calling it a "serious public health threat."
quote:
In April, President Joe Biden said the country was facing "a gun violence public health epidemic," but the CDC hasn't said how it plans to address the epidemic until now. "I swore to the President and to this country that I would protect your health. This is clearly one of those moments, one of those issues that is harming America's health," Walensky said.
quote:
"Generally, the word gun, for those who are worried about research in this area, is followed by the word control, and that's not what I want to do here," she added. "I'm not here about gun control. I'm here about preventing gun violence and gun death." She said she doesn't want people to think she is trying to take away their guns.

The fastest way to end gun violence would be for every American city over 1M in population to sink into the Earth, never to be heard from again.

We don't think that. We know that.

frick the CDC. Who the hell do they think they are.

And I don't believe you.
Trust is earned. CDC has destroyed it, in a thermonuclear fashion. Covid is the most recent evidence.

Anyone thinking they still have any relevance is a fool.

Shes a lying bitch.

Obvious answer is to start amputating trigger fingers.

"serious public health threat."
They've seen during the Plandemic how easy it is to circumvent the Constitution in the name of "public health."

Meh, after seeing what the SCOTUS said about evictions, I am not worried at all about this agency and guns.

They could stop gun violence. They let it metastasize in order to take away guns. They want incidents. Nobody lifts a finger to stop the violence in places like Chicago. Even Obama and his wife did nothing and they lived there. They have the power to stop it. They are just unwilling to do anything

Apparently, since they're doing things like ordering landlords not to evict non-paying tenants, they think they're your master.

Yet, they sit back and watch half the country eat themselves to death

CDC should be worried about the "culcha" problem because that is what is driving the gun violence.
I think we started to solve the "culcha" problem you will see the gun violence problem start to solve itself.

If the CDC was truly interested in public health, they could literally spend every moment of their time focused on the obesity/diabetes pandemic.
This dynamic is killing Americans and is CERTAIN to bankrupt several aspects of the system.
And what's more - it's low hanging fruit. They could make legitimate progress quickly, without spending a ton of money and without infringing on individual liberties.

They're so predictable.
You know, since the CDC has so much cred with the American people, these days.

Which is precisely what gun control people invariably say. To a one.

Well, she's already taken away private property rights, so why not guns?

They have a plan to address that once they've eliminated the guns in private hands

Someone her posted a story recently about a DA who said she wasn't going to prosecute people for felony gun charges based on race. Anyone have that link?
