Please make it stop

quote:

Tennessee mom Ashley Brooks enjoys working in tech support at a Nashville firm, in large part because the job has been remote since the coronavirus pandemic erupted. But with her employer likely to summon employees back to the office in 2022, she is nervous: Like many Black Americans, Brooks finds the thought of returning to work discomfiting.

Indeed, while polls suggest some employees are content to be back at their desks, Black workers told CBS MoneyWatch that being in a predominantly White workplaces often exacts an emotional toll. Working from home offers a measure of inner peace and even helps them do their jobs better, they said.

"It definitely feels more comfortable at home," said Brooks, who was commuting to work before COVID-19 struck last year. "I don't have to worry so much about my hair and the way I dress — you don't have to answer dumb questions about your hair."

She could be a remote worker in Namibia. That should be even more comfortable.

Oh really. It creates an emotional toll on them huh?

Well, go interview white people with black female bosses and get back to me.

I've met exceptions, but absent direct knowledge, I would NEVER.............repeat NEVER take a job with a black female boss. The odds are enormously stacked against that being anything but horrible

I'm not saying it doesn't happen, but has anyone here or that you know ever asked a black person in an office setting about their hair?

Wait, I thought quality housing was a problem for black people. Now, we find out it provides them inner peace?

I'll clarify for you.

The bitch is lying.

To answer you though. No. In 30+ years of adult workplace life, I've never once heard anyone give a frick about a black woman's hair beyond it being out of regs in the Army. And there, they'll give white women shite about it WAY before they give black women shite about it because everyone's scared of EO.

Sometimes I don't know who's more emotionally fragile: white soy boys or black women.
