Of course they did; it's what they do

meh... or that it wasn't overly exciting to show on TV

I’m sure if they would’ve whipped out a bunch of prayer rugs they would’ve gone in for a close up.

Yeah, we laughed when it happened. Gotta scrub the NORMAL from everything and stick with the Correct Thought.

If that team broke out prayer rugs and faced east, CBS would have turned it into a big human interest story.

I can understand where you are coming from & CBS will CBS. Just watch normal shows like CBS Sunday Morning & 60 Minutes & you will continually see left wing bias in reports.
However, perhaps they panned away to allow them some privacy.

Get a token Muslim in there with a prayer rug, and then they’ll get major backlash for not showing it.

Kneel in protest of law enforcement or perceived racism and these players would be held up as courageous and the new media darlings.

Great, let’s be SJW about it.

I'm all for postgame prayers, but people acting like this is new is ridiculous. Cameras usually cut away from such after NFL and college football games, too.
ETA: And let us not forget that texas tech are heathens so they were probably praying to some false dust god

They were expecting to see a wild celebration. So, when that didn’t happen they decided to go back to the commentary.
It was kind of an intimate moment for the team, Maybe Tech didn’t want their prayer broadcast live on tv?

CBS is a private, secular organization. Why should they be interested in showing anyone's prayers?

If you are a non-Texan, you need to trust Tbird on this. You cannot be a normal person and want to go to Lubbock.

It was more profound given that in their warmup to the Final Four broadcasts CBS ran a full feature on the Somalian Muslems in Minneapolis. In the guise of a report on the immigrants trying to learn basketball they were allowed to get in their complaints of alleged Islamaphobia. It was the usual CBS puff piece making the Somalians victims and exalting the SJW woman coach trying to save them. Yet cannot give a minute to the team's prayer which may have been very generic and not slanted to any ideology.
