Our highest individual tax bracket targets investment, of all things. Meanwhile, 1% of Americans pay one-half of all US federal income taxes. Yet progs and press scream the "rich" and "businesses" are not paying their fair share
If someone proposed returning to Clinton-era tax rates the press and left would go berserk arguing that such a regressive tax program would be inhumane.
When the argument has progressed to the point such extremism is presented on the nightly news as mainstream, a countering response must necessarily also be extreme to return us to appropriate compromise.
