You are being highly irrational.
The abuse problem in the Catholic Church is/was caused by the sins of homosexual priests and the heirarchy that covered for them.
That doesn’t mean anyone is ok with a single female being abused.

It’s not a matter of “this person is gay, so this person must rape kids”. Even if EVERY SINGLE homosexual was attracted to children, that still wouldn’t follow, and as far as I know, no one is saying that every gay person is attracted to children.
It’s a matter of whether it makes sense, statistically, to trust gays with children. I know the answer for me. I think society is going the wrong way on the question, and I know that the Church erred in having so many homosexual priests.

Is the rate of youth molestation in the Catholic Church roughly equal to that of other organizations with more evenly gender distributed youth involvement?
I used to think that may be the case. I'm not quite so sure anymore after recent revelations.

I think what people are taking issue with is instead of acknowledging the rampant cover up and enabling of the abuse they just shift blame to homos

If we removed all homosexual priests and went back to only having boy altar servers, the instances of abuse would almost completely go away.
It does not make sense to leave pubescent boys alone with homosexuals. That’s not a hateful statement, it’s just common sense.
