Totally absurd that any one would accept being talked down to by a member for the legal somewhat profession.

1974, first semester Loyola law school, professor described the following widely accepted mantra

If the facts are on your side argue the facts
If the law is on your side argue the law
If neither the facts or law are on your side just argue

Absolutely no application of ethics or logic by the legal profession

That's not how it goes, FWIW.

*ETA: or at least I've never heard it that way the 1000 times someone has said it to me

So nobody thought to check out Kaplan and Kaplan when the damn trial started?

My dude, historically you have been consistent in being against the usage of state power to crush individuals, except here.

What gives?

This is a civil action between private parties.

When we had a few anarcos on the board years ago this was a sticking point of why I argued against Big L libertarianism. They argued for private courts, which I don't think would be a better option for him in this instance (if she got to pick her Court, judge, and procedure before the case began).

This isn't a state/police action.

But it is.

The machinery of the state is being is being deployed to crush an individual.

From unlocking the SOL, from utilizing a hand-picked "victim", to the final set up with a biased judge and jury.

There is no justice being done here.

This is a mockery of justice.

Again, if her billionaire backers created a private court for her to sue Trump in, do you think that would be better for him?

I never claimed to be an anarcho-capitalist. Like I said, these private courts are specifically something I argued about with them on this board. So why would you say something has changed in my rhetoric?

Do you think her billionaire backer creating a private court to hold this action, with their hand-picked judge, would help Trump?

They pretty much got the same effect by commandeering the public system in an area with a brainwashed population.

We need to have sanctuary states where citizens can live in shelter from this kind of lawfare.

OK, let me ask it again. Same question, but add, "with procedures that deny any appeal".

Again, I never claimed I was a big L Libertarian and I specifically argued this exact scenario/point with them, when they existed on this board (joshnorris, GMorgan, etc.). The only way you get "Smaller" in this respect is to eliminate public civil courts and rely on private courts to resolve civil disputes.

I don't think anyone thinks Trump could have come out ahead there.

Again, this is a civil action. How do you do that and maintain your civil procedure rules?

Sure you are. The interesting thing about you extremely low IQ Biden depends sniffers/ball washers is that you lack the ability for independent thought and self awareness. Read this slowly and often.

Or legitimate ways to change the venue. Asking some leftard judge to be fair is out of the question.

So I was bored and started looking up some stuff. Get this. Kaplan is a lesbian that has a wife. That wife is none other than Rachel Levine the military tranny that is in the Biden administration.
