As a former prosecutor I am appalled by the idea of holding any person culpable when there isn’t even a proponderance of the evidence (which is a much much weaker requirement than the standard ‘beyond a reasonable doubt’). That is insanity and mob (pitchfork and torches) rule.

Further, I am even more apppaled when a person, no matter who they are, is not afforded due process. Our country may be struggling to find a fair way to hold people accountable. Be careful you don’t advocate for the pendulum to swing too far. Replacing rule of law to satiate emotions is a very dangerous habit. If you start taking away due process and lowering standards and evidential requirements....very bad things can happen. Very bad.

To claim my feelings as stated above are arguing in bad faith is almost insulting. I know you are a good guy doc, so I won’t take offense. But damn if I am not surprised that you are all in on this dr Ford stuff.

I honestly don’t, man. I was being 100 percent honest with what I wrote. Dr Ford has not provided any evidence outside of her own testimony. That testimony has been contradicted by several others. What has been presented comes nowhere near rising to a proponderance. Yet because Kavanaugh has power, you want to disregard evidentiary standards and due process. Do you know how dangerous and short-sighted that is?

And it was done. Feinstein held onto the info for months. We all know it was a political play. Doesn’t change the fact that zero corroborating evidence was produced. Zero. So what would you have done? We must believe her...deny the nomination?

They did. And you weren’t satisfied with the report...so you want it to last longer. Every name ford gave denied knowing what she was talking about. How much more did you want the fbi to do? How long do you think it takes? And the last question...is the key question....and perhaps goes to good faith.....how long did you want it to take?

Bonds, they limited both the amount of time and the witnesses who could be interviewed. No political control like that over such an investigation is going to look legitimate.

Despite the attempts by some people here, GP actually reports facts. If they get something wrong, the correct it.


In this case, GP suspended their relationship with this reporter and will go after the story as they should... one way or the other.

Which witness were they not allowed to speak to? I know you and your fondness of Rapey (allegedly) Bob’s fishing expeditions. Were you hoping for the same here?
