I don’t know. She said she was forced to sleep on a concrete floor.
I doubt that’s true so what am I to believe?
Good, why is she here anyways?
Go back to Canada, not welcomed anymore.

She was in Canada, idiot. Why isn’t she welcomed? She was trying to legally work. Should we be shutting down our airports so no one can get in or out?
I stand by my very first post in this thread that some of you are over-emotional bitches.

Im not emotional at all.
Im simple.
Canada has been flapping it gums and wants to control what we do, frick them and their entire population.
I dont care that shes here legally to work, frick her. Go work in Canada since its so great. If it were up to me no Canadians wouldnt be coming down here again and I would fully cut Canada off from trading with the United States asap.

No. Actively. Her work visa being revoked for months is irrelevant. She wasn’t in the country. She wasn’t trying to sneak into the country. She was trying to get her shite in order so that she could be here legally.
I stand corrected.. I wasn't reading it that way, and I guess I'm wrong.
And yes, she's an idjit... if her requests were denied at any point, and they were, she should certainly have retained an attorney.

The former actress-turned-entrepreneur from British Columbia secured a three-year U.S. work visa last spring and had been living and working in Los Angeles, her mother told CBC. However, after visiting home in November, Mooney discovered her visa had been revoked when she attempted to re-enter the United States.
Mooney said she later returned to the Mexico border with a new job offer and the necessary visa paperwork, but because she had already been flagged, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers denied her entry back into Mexico and detained her instead.
She and her lawyer are liars
1) Living in LA
2) Returned to British Columbia in Nov. to learn her Visa had been revoked
3) Somehow entered the US from the Mexican border (wtf?), and was denied re-entry into Mexico, because of her Visa status
And she was no longer working as an actress during her time in LA, she was starting a business. Which was what she originally listed as her reason to be in the US, and therefore voided her O-1 Visa agreement. Her business would have required an E-2 Visa

From your newsweek link, I found an interesting tidbit under the 'What people are saying' section.
I wonder what this is about? Very specific comment, imo.
And whatever got her 3yr revoked, in or before November, had diddly squat to do with Trump- even though the article really tries hard to make this an OMB story.
PankReb- any comments? There DOES seem to be more to this story.

Hilton Beckham, Customs and Border Protection assistant commissioner of public affairs told Newsweek in a statement: "Foreign nationals who promote extremist ideologies or carry terrorist propaganda are inadmissible to the U.S., plain and simple. A visa does not guarantee entry—CBP has the final authority after conducting rigorous security checks. Officers act swiftly to deny entry to those who glorify terrorist organizations, advocate violence, or openly support terrorist leaders and commemorate their deaths. Anyone found with extremist materials linked to a U.S.-designated terrorist group will be removed."

I dont know, I hope it covers a lot of what the democrats and liberals are doing right now so if they leave when they come back they might not be welcomed.
Id be willing to shell up some money for their moving expenses.
Interpretations differ.

People with passports should "routinely check" to see if they've been revoked?
If your status is questionable, yes you would be a dumbass not to check it ahead of time before you use it.

From your Newsweek link, it seems unequivocal that she was NOT in U.S. at time of detention, but was merely making application to enter US:
Lawyer Jim Hacking told Global News: "She was technically outside the United States at the Port of Entry trying to obtain admission, and what should have happened is they should have simply refused her.
"But the idea that they would take her into custody and detain her under what she describes as pretty harsh conditions is part of this overall plan they have to deter all immigration to the United States. They don't want people coming to the United States."

It wasn't the first time her request was denied. It was at least the 2nd.

Hes lying
ICE has not authority to leave the US in order to drag someone across our border. She was allowed entry by the Mexicans, to get to border patrol, and Mexico refuses to accept her back, because she had no Visa to re-enter
quote:
Her mother, Alexis Eagles, who lives in British Columbia, says Mooney was detained at the San Ysidro border crossing between Mexico and San Diego, the busiest land border crossing in the world
quote:
It was unclear why Mooney’s was at the southern border this month. She told ABC that she got her first visa at the San Ysidro border crossing on the advice of a Los Angeles attorney, who met her at the border, and therefore may have thought it would work a second time at that location.
She took it upon herself to "act" her way back in, during the tightest immigration rules in her lifetime. Now she wants the outrage to force her way back in to the USA
quote:
Canadian 'American Pie' actress says 'can't blame Trump' as she doesn't know why she was arrested.
She knows why. She was trying to start a business in the US, but was applying for an O-1 Visa, which is the one she got years ago. She lied to CBP
