Caught Between Two Powers, Canada Feeling Alone

Poor Canucks!

quote:

Canada is caught between two super powers and taking the punishment — and the United States has been conspicuously absent in coming to its aid “We’ve never been this alone,” historian Robert Bothwell said. “We don’t have any serious allies. And I think that’s another factor in what the Chinese are doing. ... Our means of retaliation are very few. China is a hostile power.”

quote:

In years past the U.S. might have defended Canada when came it under attack and other countries would know the U.S. had Canada’s back. Not now. In August, the Saudi government expelled Canada’s ambassador to the kingdom and withdrew its own ambassador after Canada’s foreign ministry tweeted support for an arrested Saudi activist. The Saudis also sold Canadian investments and ordered their citizens studying in Canada to leave. No country, including the U.S., spoke out publicly in support of Canada.

quote:

Derek Scissors, a China specialist at the conservative American Enterprise Institute, called China’s actions toward Canada “thuggish.”

“You detain a Canadian because the Canadians can’t do anything. It’s bullying behavior,” he said.

So they want to act like they have the best boat until the water gets choppy, then they call big brother to help them out?

Frick them

The two Canadians, Michael Kovrig, a former diplomat in China, and Michael Spavor, an entrepreneur who lived in northeastern China near the North Korean border, were taken into custody Monday on suspicion of “engaging in activities that endanger the national security” of China, Chinese foreign ministry spokesman Lu Kang said. Canadian consular officials have had no access to them.

Canada. Just another country with massive social programs completely funded by the United States.

Canada and the nations of Europe don't spend a damn thing on their militaries because they live under our umbrella of power.

This frees up money for their vote-buying schemes.

My sympathy meter for their pompous asses is on zero

Sorry Canada, but this is the price you pay when you elect a soy boy global elitist puppet with fake eyebrows to lead your country.

If you ever elect someone who aligns himself with Trump instead of the Rothschild's, we will gladly be your friend again.

PS - A carbon copy of this message has been sent to Merkel, May & Macron.

did you read the article? they were thinking of replacing trade with the US with trade with China

quote:

“At the beginning of Trump there was this idea that maybe the Chinese would replace the Americans” as Canada’s pre-eminent trade partner “but that’s just nuts,” said historian Bothwell, a University of Toronto professor. “Relations for any smaller country with China are really grave.”

Derek Scissors, a China specialist at the conservative American Enterprise Institute, called China’s actions toward Canada “thuggish.”

“You detain a Canadian because the Canadians can’t do anything. It’s bullying behavior,” he said.

Admittedly I didn't but that's because anytime I hear Canada or European nations whining about having real allies when they are talking about us I laugh. These frickers are all living under our defense umbrella which. So they don't have to spend the crap themselves and then they lavish that upon their citizens.

That's like me paying for my car and my neighbor's car so that my neighbor can party every weekend instead of pay for his car.

Then the neighbor tries to make fun of me for not being able to afford to party

Which is made worse by the fact that they act like they are ENTITLED to me paying for their car

But now that their immigration policy has flooded their country with Muslims and Chinese, do we want them to arm up now?

I saw this idea floated among retard Canadians online, but I had no idea it was seriously considered by any meaningful level of government. The little brother complex must be off the charts up there.

A significant portion of Canadians despise Americans. I'm sick and tired of wasting money and political capital on other countries. Worry about ourselves.

Red China should be near the top of "visit at your own risk" countries. S-hole country with a notoriously brutal, dictatorial government.
