Can yall guess which nation's CO2 emission are the lowest since 1985?

Gas power plants are mushrooming all over the country, with almost a 20 percent gas capacity gain of 90,000 megawatts from 2017–2020 alone. Bolstered by rising efficiency, the more that we have turned to natural gas, the more our CO2 emissions have plummeted. Our power emissions are now the lowest they have been since 1985. As the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) has shown, electricity is unique in that it is the only sector where emissions are actually declining, thanks mostly to natural gas.
In fact, the U.S. has slashed CO2 emissions much faster than our European allies that adopted the Kyoto Protocol to reduce emissions in 1997. Preferring markets over incessant regulation, non-signatory U.S. has been reducing emissions faster than any other nation on Earth. All the while, our economy has boomed nearly 60 percent to $18 trillion (real 2010 $).
Indeed, the climate group Carbon Brief reports that more natural gas use is the primary driver for declining CO2 emissions in the U.S. power sector. Gas has cut 50 percent more emissions since 2005 than wind and solar power combined. Natural gas is the reason why President Obama’s now pulled back Clean Power Plan has become completely irrelevant: We are set to surpass his reduction goals a decade early. Natural gas is the only fossil fuel that actually increases in demand under modeled scenarios that keep the rise in the global average temperature to below the critical 2°C threshold.
Just more proof that liberals do not care about the environment. The globalist and liberal countries that are part of the Kyoto agreement and the Paris climate accord have not come anywhere close to meeting their emission targets, but the US is not part of either and we are kicking some greenhouse arse. So who are the science deniers now?
Now lets all point and laugh at the dumbass greenies and dumbass liberals.

Anyone have any numbers? I would be interested in the annual CO2 emissions of a 500MW coal plant compared to a 500MW natural gas plant.

That Pussy Grabbing Bastard has done it again! MAGA

Global warming is nothing but a wealth distribution scam but the global elites. The US has long been cutting emission on our own but are by far the most hammered by the deal. It’s all bullshite that stupid sheep buy into

and who says we can't go it alone? Looks like we're doing our part just fine without giving money away.

There are all kinds of links in the article that I linked in the OP that have data and here is a 244 page pdf that you can read if you are that big of a nerd.

According to the 2017 BP Statistical Review of World Energy, since 2005 annual U.S. carbon dioxide emissions have declined by 758 million metric tons. That is by far the largest decline of any country in the world over that timespan and is nearly as large as the 770 million metric ton decline for the entire European Union. By comparison, the second largest decline during that period was registered by the United Kingdom, which reported a 170 million metric ton decline. At the same time, China's carbon dioxide emissions grew by 3 billion metric tons, and India's grew by 1 billion metric tons.
Once again lets all laugh at the liberal dumbasses.

And they tried to give us shite for pulling out of Paris. frick them.

I'll give you a hint. It was not the badass that is sitting down in that picture.

We are doing better than ok. We are cutting emissions and making $$$.

You know what plants have very very very low CO2 emissions? Like 0? Nuclear.
Only CO2 emitted from nuclear power is from the processing of uranium fuel.
Yet we are decreasing our use of nuclear energy. Makes no fricking sense.

It does if you're a rich NIMBY Greeny.
frick you, frick the poor, I got mine and can afford the energy cost hikes.

Why? They are winning. In part because those on the right continue to believe that facts matter more than anything else.

I love all the information provided, but do you have relative reduction numbers? Percent reduction in emissions is a much better number to look at

Modern regulation in full effect?
Was this supposed to be a gotcha?
You know you're advertising for CO2 emission regulation by posting this?

Of course, this only good news if you believe CO2 is a pollutant.

But muh Paris Climate Accord

Somebody did not read the article. The US's emissions have fallen because natural gas has replaced coal. Natural gas replacing coal is due to economics not regulations.

Is there a person alive who doesn't and didn't realize that the Paris Accord was nothing more than another US taxpayer dollar giveaway to shite hole countries ? I mean seriously...
