Our money will be left far behind, a beggar we'll stand in judgment, our debts too many to pay.

No lawyer will get us off.

It's nothing but drug addicts who have refused housing assistance because they want to continue getting high.

Giving homeless people narcan and letting them seek help when they're ready hasn't worked out. It's time we took a page from our adversaries. The Taliban regularly picks up addicts from the street and throws them into rehab centers that look like concrete encampments. They shave their heads, give them showers, and then force them to quit cold turkey. I'm done feeling bad for people who can't respect themselves. We can no longer wait for people to get their shite together since our communities are the ones paying the price for their actions.

It's time to get it done. Kidnap homeless addicts, give the state guardianship over them, and then throw them into rehab factories that are as harsh as prison. It's the only way they'll think twice about doing drugs again. Keep the cycle going until there are no more homeless addicts ruining our communities.

This is not how addiction works.

True... but it'll get them cleaned up and thinking straight, instead of constantly having to fight off withdrawls... so it's a start...

But after that, yes, the underlying problem must be addressed.

Toss in the pharmaceuticals and doctors who started this epidemic by hiding the addictive risk and telling everyone how safe their drugs were.

We are not the Taliban. If you like the way they do things, you can always move to Kabul or Kandahar.

That's because in your civic responsibility you've become lazy, probably obsessed with the never ending soap opera that comes out of Washington. Trump v.Democrats, Democrats v.Republicans, etc. Meanwhile you ignore the fukks in your backyard who get off putting it to you because you are obsessed with whatever Fox or CNN or whatever cable outlet is feeding you. Meanwhile your local officials do the bare minimum and you think that Daddy Fed will come in and make it all better. Policing is a local responsibility. Don't be a lazy old coot and pawn it off to Trump, because he'll take the opportunity and I guarantee that the power you relinquish to the Feds will stay with the Feds in some fashion. If you relinquish your liberty for security, you'll end up with neither in both the short run and long run. This is not about Trump and Conservative or Liberal, Inc. It's about local accountability for safety and order. Get up off your arse, go to a council meeting, jump your local legislators arse. Don't let the Feds do it....your local and state officials would love that. They don't have to do shite.

No, ill just keep supporting Trump and not giving one ounce of a damn what you think

Would you live in DC or New Orleans without a police presence?

We all know the answer to this question. It’s no. So that makes you a boot licking fascist.

Have a nice day.

I was at an event last night with someone who works for a nonprofit and “encourages” homeless here in TN to go to CA for the benefits bestowed upon the homeless community upon arrival. Said over last 5 years they’ve “encouraged” roughly 2000 homeless people to make the trek, despite that the numbers here are still growing.
