Your response is much more applicable than mine.

So much wrong, starting with your first paragraph.
Slaves were chattel. Property. Just like any other beast of burden.
Thus, the protections for private property IN THE CONSTITUTION (i.e., 5th Amendment) made slavery constitutional.
In fact, it was so constitutional that the 13th Amendment was NECESSARY to make it illegal.
States rights/slavery were intertwined, as was the constitutional issue of movement of slaves and any effort to restrict it (why can I bring my horses and cattle into territories, but not my slaves)?
Nostalgia or reverence for the "Lost Cause" began as soon as the War was over, so the statues and pride for the flag was not a new thing in the 1950a and 60s. What was new was the vitriol in response to it. It was (and had been) non-controversial for almost 100 years.

When we grew up, the flag was simply a symbol of the South, period.
Its been demonized by propagandists.

2 and 5 are blatantly false.
In a federal system like ours, some powers are reserved to the central government and others to the states, and still others off limits altogether. Only the federal government can issue currency. Nobody can grant a royal title.
A lot of Confederate statues were built after the war as part of the reconciliation. The South built Union statues at the same time. North Georgia has one. (MTG got clowned for not knowing it was a Union statue.)

You keep referring to slaves as people... they weren't considered people

Why is it hard to understand that people who literally lived during a time when framers of the constitution had lived might be willing to fight for their beliefs? Why is it hard to understand how radically different states were then?
Why do liberals apply 21st century “thought” to early-mid 19th century politics?
Why do liberals act as if blacks (no caps) were welcomed with open arms to all places north?

Because facts are uncomfortable.

Why suh, I must be allowed to have my property secure when I travel with it or even relocate to a locale that does not approve of the peculiar institution. Since I was not a citizen of New Yawk or Massachusetts at the time of acquisition of said property, then those state's laws do not apply to me as well as any production that comes from that property whilst I reside in a state that does not recognize the peculiar institution.
I object vehemently, sir also to allowing non claimed property to also be located in my former locale. Such, I also beseech the local as well as federal govuhmints to assist me in tracking down and resecuring my errant property, at mostly the governing authority's expense.
A gentleman, such can only tolerate so much for my rights and honor have been impugned. I

I highly doubt that ANYTHING posted contrary to your preconceived viewpoints on this subject would persuade you to change your already formed opinions on the subject... so I have to ask... why are you asking for explanations... rather than just posting "here's my thoughts on why all of y'all are wrong"?

I think the larger issue is what are you looking for from that manifesto?
Why do people care so much to drum up topics like this is 2024?
The “racism everywhere” drum is in tatters and people aren’t interested in having people with white guilt reconstruct it. Especially during elections.
If you believe that we still have a race issue in America, in 2024, see a good God fearing therapist. Not a liberal one that’s gonna stroke your fears.
Too many liberals are playing the part of the 1940’s Jews and ignoring that there party is using them for their own destruction. Globalism will destroy more Rights than anything gained during the signing of the Constitution up through the Civil Rights Act. Globalism is about turning Americans into second class citizens in their own country.

The Civil War was, at its root, about
maintaining the institution of slavery. The Confederacy acknowledged this fact in its on Articles of Secession, as did its leaders at every opportunity. Confederate generals were traitors to
the USA.
It’s also true that the majority of Confederate monuments were erected at a time when black citizens were seeking to establish their rights under the Constitution. In fact, the dedication plaques attached to many of them directly referred to white opposition to
sharing political power. You should educate yourself. Of course, some posters will vehemently deny many of these truths, even though they are easily verified with a little honest effort.
I think some people are justifiably proud of the many positive aspects of Southern culture, and they conflate the bad with the good.
