Can anyone explain why Sessions is still AG?

Trump has been quick to replace just about anyone who is adverse to what he wants to do or pisses him off, why is Sessions still around? These tweets asking for investigations that never happen make Trump look incredibly weak.
Meanwhile, Sessions is gearing up to shite all over state's rights and frick with legal weed.

He will look bad getting rid of such a respected member.

Yeah, I don't think that is anywhere near the case

He is easily Trump's worst appointment and it is not close.
Not really a fan of Trump, but if he actually managed to get weed legalized he would be the beneficiary of a huge economic boom, massive savings for law enforcement all over the country, and the most "libertarian" type of legislation passed in decades.

Trump daddy couldn’t put together 4 coherent sentences describing federalism. States rights
. Remember when the GOP was out of power and cared so much about those?

I think it's either that or Trump feels beholden to him for being the first real player to jump on board his campaign

GOP would much rather be back out of power and able to talk a big game again

He was appointed by POTUS, approved by Senate and serves at the pleasure of the POTUS. You’re welcome.

Makes me think of the LBJ line - "Better to have him inside the tent pissin' out than outside pissin' in".

Maybe the sheriffs lose money on weed(I doubt it) but D.A's offices use it as a cash cow between asset forefeiture, probation, and diversion programs

Do you believe that it would be better or worse for Trump if he has a chummy relationship with Sessions as his DOJ investigates U1?

I don't believe Sessions should ever have been picked as AG

I'm talking more about officers needed, DEA spending, and incarceration costs, but I understand your point.

Asset forfeitures go back to the arresting agency, so sheriff's offices do benefit. They can't really plan or budget for it though. With legalized weed, taxed at the state level, they could most likely make up what they get from asset forfeiture and better budget for it.

That would require Republicans being interested in small government
