And people will complain and yell, but still re-elect these same politicians and yell at anyone who votes for a third party.

I wish we knew who put that in the bill. The actual a-hole who thought “ hey no one will say no because they ( the people) need the other things in the bill.

I believe Nasty Pelosi capitulated and all that crap went away and she agreed to go along with the Senate bill. Her own people were getting on her about it. She had no one backing her up when she announced it.

It doesn't sound like it will go to the salaries of congress members. But, they can use that money for lawyers to lead the next round of impeachment over Trump's CV response. It can also go for expenses, meaning benefits for congress members. They most likely will need to take a several day visit to a high end resort to discuss CV and give money to their pet NGOs for "studies."

Hopefully it will be scrapped from the final bill.

Not in stimulus bill

Is in House version which is DOA

25M isn't for salaries but for increased expenses for members related to the Corona. Think remote work options for staff, maybe capabilities to hold sessions and vote remotely, etc.

Lol at any mouth breather who thinks that's just a Dem thing. I'm sure the Republicans put up a massive fight against a raise

Is it in the senate bill? The one written by Republicans?
