All those states have robust testing and contact tracing as well
That's probably news to the people who live there.
"The U.S. is again grappling with a shortfall of testing that has hobbled the nation since the pandemic’s early weeks, and now threatens to further undermine containment efforts at a crucial moment.
"In new hot spots like Arizona, Texas and Florida, where Covid-19 is rapidly spreading, lines for testing extend outside of urgent-care offices and other sites. Two high-school football stadiums in Houston regularly hit capacity by mid-morning and have to turn people away. The U.S. is again grappling with a shortfall of testing that has hobbled the nation since the pandemic’s early weeks, and now threatens to further undermine containment efforts at a crucial moment." LINK
"The [contact tracing] system remains a 'very manual and archaic process,' he added, because nearly all of the labs and the hospitals in the state report coronavirus cases through fax, and those results must then be manually entered into a computer.
Contact tracing didn't ramp up in Texas until after businesses had reopened and residents stopped isolating at home, making the effort more challenging." LINK
Sounds "robust"

But the chicken littles are flat out saying the southwest "reopened too soon".
There was no reopening too soon. If anything it was too late and got people stir crazy where they DGAF about being careful. That's where the problems occurred.

Steadmans Cheddar
California conducted 105,000 tests yesterday. That is by far the most per capita on the planet.
I know for a fact that down here in Orange County, anyone who wants a test can get one.

Jacksonville is opening 6 more testing site.
Our positive rate is like 2 points lower than the rest of the state.
We’ve been holding at 64 deaths in a city of a million people.
Ain’t skurred

They should not have shut down the whole state in fear of what’s only happening in a few counties. Those few counties being of the highest, most closely kept bunches of people throughout the state. Aka “large cities“. Aka “liberal shitholes”. Aka “largest at risk areas”.!

texas has had a fatality actual experience per 100,000 people that is two hundred times lower than New York
New York hospitals turning away elderly patients to nursing home was generational genocide and the state politicians in New York are responsible

quote:Nothing about protests?
1. Not let thousands pack in tightly for protests
2. Enforce mask order earlier
3. Enforce the reopen rules on businesses (bars and restaurants primarily) flagrantly breaking those rules of which there were many

Why do you start these threads trying to find common ground with the liberals on this board?
It’s a waste of time:

Kept bars closed...few adhere to any rules with a few Rum Runners working. I live in Florida, and my 18yr old and all of his buddies were infected at a big party 2 weeks ago. Now wife has tested positive and is sicker than I’ve ever seen her over 30yrs. Of course my son has very slight symptoms...I’m sure I’m positive too. Be careful out there
