If TLDR, skip to the section "Solution".

Update 1/26/21 - Team is growing slowly. Note the heavy lifting will be done offline. If you're serious about helping draft the Declaration of Freedom and pitching in on initial steps for petition, email me. Libs are cool too if we don't digress into policy debates and you're behind the vision of moving power back to states so we can live peacefully.

30 state legislatures are controlled by conservatives. We are in better shape than you realize if we commit to one well planned battle as laid about below. The hasty, ill planned efforts are being slaughtered. I know from fighting wildfires a common mistake is to cut the firebreak too close and the fire passes before you finish cutting and you end up losing more land instead of regrouping further down and cutting a solid firebreak. Let's get back to making smart, coordinated moves. Lately it has been "Ready, fire, aim". This is "Ready, aim, fire"

The Tenth Amendment limits the power of the federal government to a narrow list. Not only have they taken power away from sovereign states which each have economies the size of medium to large nations and turned these states into glorified counties, within the federal government they have further concentrated power to the Executive Branch. As a result:

1. They have deprived us of the ability to co-exist with a diverse population by not allowing states to govern according to the best interests of their residents, and instead have made conflict between Americans inevitable
2. They have allowed coastal states to largely influence how other states operate
3. Their concentration of power in one place has made an easier target for corruption via corporate power and foreign influence. It has given the radical left an easier lever to make sweeping changes. Lastly, it has given the federal government power to persecute and violate civil rights over issues where the federal government has no legal jurisdiction
4. They have turned local problems into national problems. Cities and states fail to solve problems at their level, ask the federal government for money, and end up getting new regulations applied to the entire country

If you take nothing else from this... conservatives need to fight hard for the Tenth Amendment like we do for the First and Second. We should have started 100 years ago. The next best time is now.

Solution
Draft a Declaration of Freedom and circulate as a nonpartisan petition amongst We the People. It will put all politicians at the state and federal levels on notice that we will only vote for those who will support it as priority over their party affiliations. Its terms will call for return of power to the states, among a few other priorities limiting power of federal government such as no spying on citizens, no federal ruling on abortion, etc. It does not replace the Constitution but call to return to it in good faith

Considerations
1. High energy only. We cannot be in the defeatist headspace the radical left wants you to be in when we've only faced 1/10th the oppression of what lies ahead
2. Political parties are parallel efforts and unaffected. Reform the GOP vs Patriot Party, etc. Even Vernon Jones did more for the cause of freedom while he was a Democrat than 90% of the GOP. This is a movement of lovers of freedom, not a party, occurring independently of how the party landscape shapes up. The Patriot Party will be 100% on board and as it gains attention conservative media outlets will promote it
3. I know it's not in our nature to organize at the grassroots level - liberals do that. If we organized 30% as much as they did we'd dominate in elections, not to mention we'd actually have a say on their platforms. Note that conservative movements have gotten results - Blexit, Walkaway.
4. Focused effort - cannot boil the ocean. While we'd all love to state in there that life begins at conception, etc.. the whole point is bringing power back to the states to where they can be decided locally. This plays to our strength as 30 states have conservative legislatures, which is where we want to move power

Thanks, Declaration is already written. I'll check thread over next few days or so and see how the responses are, not to mention collect inputs from fellow patriots. Step 1 is literally gauge the responses here to determine if feasible to move on to future steps. I have an old twatter account I left open just for this purpose I can use to start organizing. As it grows I would step aside and let others more qualified than me take the helm

A pivotal moment in our nation's history could very easily start on the LSU Tigerdroppings board, just like how the Revolution was planned in taverns

Twatter will just be used to trade contact info initially via DM with people who want to be involved in drafting. We will send delegates to other active conservative boards before finalizing. This will take place before they may try to shut down the account.

Security of the petition, I admit I need some IT help there before we launch that

Oh we've started

1. I'll monitor the responses here to build momentum. There will be some self pity ("we can never win another election so why bother") - but ignore them.
2. Will also talk to members privately who will look over it and make suggestions and get to a first draft that'll we'll release on the board
3. More steps to be revelated later, need to pass through the initial wickets first. But this can move quick if we get behind it.

Remember, this doesn't undermine Patriot Party, GOP reform, or any other efforts. It runs in parallel and supplements, giving our leaders instructions from We the People. So no need to wait for someone else to step up. We take action now

We need a platform. I don’t think creating a completely new party is the answer, but we can create “America First” coalitions in each state.
It’s important to change the local/state legislatures first. For instance in Louisiana we have more than our fair share of RINOS and weak republicans that won’t do what is right when the time comes to vote.
The biggest problem is lack of quality candidates. My fiancé has lobbied for almost 12 years and I see it all the time. They can never find a good candidate. We need more blue collar types and less white collar. Plant workers, welders, teachers even. Common folk. The trend of electing mostly lawyers had got to end. Especially the trial attorney types.
It’s a tall task and we have a lot to do but it is doable. As Republicans we just have to be more involved than we have in the past.

If we get a petition of > 10 million voters we're set.
Seems impossible but not they had over 1 million for Gov Newsome recall. I'd rather promote an actual plan to conservative friends than just lament about the state of the nation.

Will take some spreading the word for a few months but this can gain steam pretty quick when picked up by conservative media.

Bypass most of fundraising, get existing conservative media outlets to get behind it. That's way down the road though. For now push online. Get the Declaration first draft, find experts in Constitutional law to help, and then start the petition. Spread the word, will be a Valley Forge period for a few months. This can easily happen

I’ve said on here many times, most of our problems are solved with a return to state rights. Let Oregon be Oregon and Louisiana be Louisiana. Stay out of each other‘s business and everyone’s happy.

Yup. Governors matter. They're in charge of states with economies the size of regular nations. They can figure things out

Was literally explaining this to my 13 year old son this afternoon. Agreed.
