ETA: The nomination of Brett Talley, the Justice Department official in line for a lifetime judicial appointment, "will not be moving forward," a Trump administration official told NPR on Wednesday.

Via the Daily Beast.

quote:

Brett J. Talley, nominated by President Donald Trump to the Federal District Court in Montgomery, Alabama, has never tried a case, is married to a White House lawyer, and has been dubbed as unqualified by the American Bar Association.

He also has a fervent interest in investigating and writing about paranormal activities.

On his questionnaire for the Senate Judiciary Committee, a copy of which was provided to The Daily Beast, Talley says that he was part of The Tuscaloosa Paranormal Research Group from 2009-2010. The group, according to its website, searches for the truth “of the paranormal existence” in addition to helping “those who may be living with paranormal activity that can be disruptive and/or traumatic.”

“Mainly we may go into a house between maybe 7 at night and 6 in the morning and stay up all night long and see if we can see what’s going on”

Only the best people!

I don’t believe anything from the Daily Beast. It’s essentially info wars for the left. Exaggerated clickbait

Still very likely to know more about the US Constitution than 90% of the 9th circuit just playing sheer odds.

The guy went to Harvard law school and tried as many cases as Obama. He is currently the Deputy Assistant Attorney General.

Quit repeating talking points.

That Daily Beast article links to the **Fake News** US Senate Judiciary Committee archive that seems to prove the Ghostbuster story.

ETA: in fairness, Talley did say that he was a member of the Tuscaloosa Paranormal Research Group for only a couple of years.

You are becoming unhinged. Anyone that is this obsessed with the president needs to reevaluate their life immediately.

I think he’s only the second person to ever be rated unqualified unanimously by the ABA

I find it really amusing that people who supported a community organizer in the White House for 8 years are suddenly so persnickety about qualifications.
