Is it probable that the reason they want everything shut down is because if things open up and bodies and diseased people don't pile up in the streets they wouldn't be able to pull this power grab again?

Do you think the shutdown should continue?

Democratic U.S. Sen. Doug Jones urged Alabamians today not to go to surrounding states with open restaurants and possibly bring coronavirus home.
Speaking in a virtual press conference streamed on his Facebook page, Jones said he shares state health officials’ concern about looser rules in Georgia and Tennessee. “We don’t have a wall built between Alabama and Georgia,” Jones said, “but if they keep going that way, we might have to.”
Bye Doug, hope you enjoyed your two years in the show.

Businesses are opening all around me.

Unfortunately, as this comes to a close, we will see many businesses that will never reopen. :-(

All retail stores are allowed to be opened if deemed non essential they have to keep it 10 people are less. Apparently was in original order

It's shameful. People need to be able to run their business as they see fit.

Nah, people are reverting to their extremes. It still matters that medical systems at risk don’t get overwhelmed. On the other hand, and this has been completely overlooked, zero infections is not the reality nor should it be an expectation.
Areas not close to being overwhelmed should be open and monitor with social distancing etc. to keep it that way.

No fricking reason Walmart can be open with a hundred people inside but a gym with 30 can’t... and if the argument is sanitation, the virus can’t be spread via sweat, it’s a respiratory virus.
Don't expect decisions by government BOZOs to make any sense!

I live in Baldwin County. Total population of 223,234 and 174 confirmed cases. That’s 0.078% of the population. For those who argue for more testing, multiply that by 10, and you still at a fraction of 1% of the population confirmed (largest county in the state by area). There are folks on Nextdoor crying that ‘it’s too soon!!!!’ I don’t get it?!?

SPANISH FORT, Ala. (WKRG) — UPDATE (12:25)– Trattoria’s Pizza was shut down by the health department in Baldwin County Friday morning.
The only reason to shut them down is their crust isn't crisp enough.
I hope they can legally burn arses.
