To play the devil’s advocate, I presume he meant under the assumption that the USA would endeavor to reverse that phenomenon and put into motion the process of a preserving and expanding the sovereignty of native Brits.

The only logical consistency it has being that the U.K. left the EU and is a part of the Anglosphere alongside Canada and Australia/NZ. Outside of that it’s difficult to truly theorize outside of thought experimentation as a sort of inversion of what they were attempting with the colonies before American Independence was accomplished.

There are a lot more practical matters at hand though like securing Greenland more thoroughly.
