Georgia Republicans looking great so far in 2020!

NBC

Brian Kemp, the Republican governor of Georgia, admitted on Wednesday that he had only just learned that asymptomatic individuals can still spread coronavirus — even though health experts had warned about the possibility as early as January.

Kemp, in a press conference on Wednesday said the fact that he’d just learned that information contributed to him issuing a statewide shelter-in-place order in Georgia.

He may consider surrounding himself with better people in his staff.

All you have to do is watch his campaign videos to know that he's an idiot.

I don't believe for one second that he didn't know this, but I'm not sure why he felt saying that wasn't the stupidest thing he could've possibly done.

Of course he knew asymptomatic people could spread Covid 19.

It was all over the news and I am sure he was/is briefed on the Virus often.

He needed a reason why he issued the State Wide Shelter in Place yesterday and not last week or the week before.

Kemp thought it would be better to say he just learned a new, critical, fact which caused him to issue the SIP order, than to say he had all the facts but left the State open the last two weeks.

Kemp made a miscalculation and should have just been honest and said he left the State open to save the economy.

He's going to really be pissed when he finds out March Madness was cancelled.

It's becoming all too clear how Stacey Abrams almost won that.

Or when he rolls up to the National next week and it’s empty.

Go on the Atlanta Reddit and they'll tell you Abrams would've declared martial law in February.

Does that mean they're directly working with the governor? I hope not if he still didn't know this. Like I said, he needs better advisors/people around him.
