Ironically, Trump's biggest accomplishment - the TCJA - was actually Ryan's accomplishment, if Trumpfans logic is consistent and the runaway spending during the Trump era was actually on congress because they control spending. Well, they control taxation the same way.

They WERE the best with HE hired them, but the SWAMP was too much for THEM. Only TRUMP can withstand IT.

TRUUUUUMP!

Maybe someone should have shown Trump these two pictures early on... he could have probably figured it out that way. In fact, maybe picture books would be good for Trump in general.

Yeah, I remember plenty of Trump fans screaming that Trump destroyed Biden in that first debate.

No, he fricking embarrassed himself and he embarrassed me as a Trump voter.

I had to walk out of the room it was so bad.

a billionaire and one of 45 people to ever be a US President. You seem super smart.

I didn’t say that it did. Nonetheless, you have had years of hindsight to come up with a replacement list.

Let’s see it.

I’m not sure what it would have amounted to but as far as Attorney General goes I would have tried to hire the current AG of a state or large metro area DA who has the best track record of being tough on crime and and busting up government corruption.

This is logical, but whom would you have chosen?

I mean, by that standard, one could argue for someone like Jeff Landry (which would have brought about a nuclear level melt from some people).

We have a lot of hindsight gurus, but even now, they can’t put forth anything legit.

Good on you though for posting.

As noted, at least you were logical.

Because that's what a normal person does - spitball a cabinet and White House staff in case they ever find themselves POTUS.

You sound just like your Daddy Don with Baier. Making claims not based in reality and with no supporting facts.

Is this your bar for the leader of the free world? He just has to do as well as some random person who posts on the internet would do?

This is a bizarre deflection that I'll never understand. If an engineer builds a shitty submarine that implodes at depth, do you have to have the knowledge to build a better one to point out that his sub sucked?

Speaking of deflection…and a shite analogy.

I mean, it should be a short list - no?

Or do you just go with whom the leadership of your party suggests?

It’s fun to see the tards make excuses.

He chose to go along with the GOPe suggestions.

It was a poor decision.

But it’s also a decision that the VAST majority of us would have made.

It’s fun exposing the disingenuous nature of people though.

From where I’m standing now I’m not sure who I would have chosen because I’m not well versed on work of AGs and large metro area DAs across the country. As a President-Elect though I would assume that I would have access to the information from every state and large metro area to help me make my decision though. And for all I know this could have Trump’s plan and he couldn’t find anybody he felt would do the job and moved on to the next tier.

I’ve just always felt like maybe the best thing an elected official can do is hire a strong up and comer vs the political version of old retreads or long time assistant coaches. Whether or not it’s the correct answer or would work is a complete crapshoot but that’s just always been how I’ve felt.

The vast majority of "us" would make shitty f'n presidents. This isn't some sort of defense of Trump's failings.

Nah. It was pretty damn obvious to many that Reince Preibus, John Bolton, etc were poor hires.
