Why should former federal workers/employees/agents/appointees/politicians have security clearances anyway after they’re gone? It should be revoked the day you leave or retire.

The fact that lots of people not currently working for intelligence agencies still have active security clearances for a set amount of time from when the clearance was granted, as opposed to when the job requiring it ends, may be another decent argument why this practice should end.
But they're not imposing a policy that would fix this, and not even talking about doing that. They're going after political enemies, and not even close to everyone guilty of whatever their actual excuse will be. And to loud cheers here, I'll add.

Having a clearance is a requirement for pretty much job anywhere closely related to their past experience. There's an entire industry of people in the DC area who get jobs largely because they still have an active clearance when they separate or retire from service, and because they are very expensive for employers to get done.

My best friend is retired secret service, his clearance was immediately revoked no entry to SS offices anywhere and no communication. They all need to be revoked, period

Don’t choose to become a political operative trying to undermine the current administration if you don’t want your shite revoked. Pretty simple.

I'm not really sure why I'm supposed to care about it being targeting either. They're publicly trying to take down a sitting president. It would be idiotic to continue to allow them official access while they do it.
