Many Nascar fans disrespect Wallace because he wallowed in the 'noose' bs instead of manning up and laughing it off. Like the Will Smith 'slap' of Chris Rock, he can't take that back no more that Bud Light can their disgusting blunder. The radio rant - real or FBI plant - indeed reflects the sympathies of many Nascar fans. Rightfully so.
That said, if Wallace wins with no 'affirmative action' behind his wheel, I'll lend due fair competitor respect. Character nws.

It increasingly appears NASCAR has turned to scripted drama like pro-wrestling. That certainly is some of the reasoning behind the emergence of Jussie Wallace as the new face of NASCAR.
Yet NASCAR has fricked-up pro-wrestling’s winning formula. By their reckoning, Jussie is the white-hat and the fans the black-hats.
This seems to be the same formula that the NFL has adopted: the players hate the fans, the owners hate the fans and the sponsors hate the fans. And the fans know it.

You can listen to them on the livestream of his team radio. The driver is not the only person using a radio.

Yet this begs the question: how did Wallace not hear the alleged remark if it was broadcast over his team’s radio frequency? Did it occur after the race?

Once they cross line the drivers start taking everything off. Radio ear plugs usually go early unless you win and congratulate team over radio.
Thing is, Nascar said “its their understanding” this happened. Just like it was their understanding the garage pull was a noose and they called 17 Eff Bee Eye agents. Anyone who believes this is easily tricked.
How about last year when Bubba assualted an Asian driver on live TV and got a slap on wrist. He has a temper problem and is not a good role model for the sport. Has top notch equipment and a new younger driver who just joined their team this year is driving circles around fake noose agitator.
I’m surprised Nascar didn’t have a hidden sniper shoot a small dart in Larsons tire on last lap so Smollet could win.
All year long Nastycar (well, Fox Sports) has shown Jussie in TV future race promos along with 4 of the top stars. That tells you all you need to know.

And this ^^^ is where we are. Once trust and confidence have been destroyed it’s nearly impossible to rebuild or restore.
