Name one incident, that could be presented as evidence, where a "legal assault rifle" (sic) was used to cause mass casualties. (We are assuming that you are referring to some civilian mass murder/casualties case rather than some war crime somewhere.)

The shooting last year in Hesston. Dude had an AK-47 style semi auto. Killed 3 people and wounded 14 in one afternoon.

I know it's not an assault rifle. However it is a semi automatic rifle that is often used in mass shootings that a lot of people think should not be legal.

As amusing as it would be, Weird Al has stayed VERY clear of politics in his songs. The most political thing he did was one of those autotuned debate videos that were popular this election where it turns quotes from the speakers into a song. (Though some people go to insane lengths to assign political meanings to his songs, like "Christmas at Ground Zero" as being an anti-war message
