I’ll admit that I’ve re-connected with my faith in the past couple of years primarily because of personal physical medical difficulties. Upvote from me, V. The Spiritual Essence of both Islam and Christianity is that Reality (Empirical Universe) is essentially...Spiritual. I.e., that that Basic Essence is (a) Self-aware Being; Muslims call that Being Allah, Christians go with God, Jews something different, Buddhists too, and all other forms of Religion...but the Idea of such a Basic Being is that we are all a limited chip off that Cognitive Block.

And that that Being, created us as an act of Love. Even though creating Limited Beings, is in and of itself highly problematic, I.e., *evil*. For those who know God...it's worth it; for those who do not...non-existence sucks.

Religion is a means to an end. Whether one chooses to validate the Idea of a Conscious Being-based Reality, and accept the Mercy of Jesus Christ for our (limitation/evil) or question the legitimacy of Jesus and opt for action in striving to express in our character, the essential basis for God's (our) Creation - such being the expression of our love to our brethren.

The Good Book (supposedly God) says that "if you say that you love God, but love not your fellow man, then you are a liar and the truth is not in you". That's a high bar. Jesus Mercy, guidance and help, could surely be appreciated.

I hope and pray for your "medical difficulties"; I have my own. I can remember back in my old philosophy days (Castaneda) that a certain novel Character said that "he kept death on His right shoulder, as an advisor". The idea of our imminent mortality can be a useful tool toward the perfection of our character; and the shaping our character, is essentially the shaping of our (subjective) Reality. The Lord said that "my kingdom is not of this world". His 'kingdom', is one of Spirit. Love being key.

Humanity will get beyond our current Vision (or temporal lack there of). Growing pains. Trial by fire. The best character-shaper there is. And it will be the ultimate realization that we are all indeed "make in God's image", and children/brethren in a very challenging and ultimately, personally glorious Creation.
