An Arizona judge on Saturday rejected Republican gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake’s lawsuit attempting to overturn her defeat, concluding that there wasn’t clear or convincing evidence of misconduct, and affirming the victory of Democratic Gov.-elect Katie Hobbs.

Lake, who lost to Hobbs by about 17,000 votes in November, sued in an effort to overturn the election. Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Peter Thompson allowed a two-day trial on some of Lake’s claims, which concluded late Thursday afternoon.

Technical experts who testified in support of Lake provided analysis that “does not nearly approach the degree of precision” needed to conclude that the election results were tainted, the judge ruled.

After the election, Lake falsely claimed that a mishap with some printers in Maricopa County was part of a deliberate effort to rig the vote against her. But the judge’s ruling noted that Lake’s “own witness testified before this Court that … printer failures were largely the result of unforeseen mechanical failure.”

In a tweet after the ruling, Lake said she would appeal the decision, “for the sake of restoring faith and honesty in our elections.”

About as surprising as Ray Epps dodging any sort of legal action or media criticism despite being part of an insurrection (their words).

Justice is a rarity in this country now.

Haven’t really followed so just reading cliffs, but shouldn’t a mechanical failure, intentional or not, constitute that votes had the potential to be wrong or not counted?

No Judge will put their career or safety on the line over this. It's easier and safer to just allow the cheaters to remain in power and collect a pay check

Not surprised one bit despite all the evidence her team presented. I, and others, predicted this outcome. Swamp creature has long tentacles. The judge wants to continue living.

After the election, Lake falsely claimed that a mishap with some printers in Maricopa County was part of a deliberate effort to rig the vote against her. But

There’s our modern corporate media yet again.

Take out the word “falsely” above and they still could’ve accurately reported the story but nope…

Joe Biden himself could go on the stand, admit cheating, explain how it was done with detailed photos and no judge would do anything about it.

They already are.

The world they're building is not sustainable and most will be in poverty before they're old.

Progressives aren't smart enough to realize that these people are coming after them too, as soon as they're done manipulating them.

There was never any realistic chance for Lake to get a favorable ruling in the current political environment.

The Anti Trump Consortium have been working to destroy Trump and the America First movement for over six years….there are few judges who have the courage to challenge those anti America First forces.

Imagine the shite show if this happened in a GOP controlled district that had anywhere close to 50% black population.

just imagine

New election, criminal indictments, mass resignations/firings/impeachments, constraint orders for the next 40 years, DOJ 'oversight' of all elections activity.

I guess the judge missed the part where the expert testified that only someone with admin access could change the printer settings.

It was no accident.
