You're right. Mahmoud Abbas delayed the Palestinian elections roughly two weeks ago which led to where we are at right now. Hamas is anti-Abbas and called the move to postpone the elections "a coup." And so this little conflict between Israel and Hamas is really convenient for Abbas as its killing off prominent leaders in Hamas's organization.

I read the whole thread up to this point and have not seen one poster asking for this.
I haven't seen a single person in any thread since this started that said the US should get involved. I have seen several spout off this nonsense though. It is really odd.
