Yep! Right on time, just like I figured. Pandemic breakout in China, followed by a breakout in this country, followed by a lockdown here. Followed by either cancellation of the Mid-term Elections or full mail-in ballot voting.

Have to "reset" long held traditions in the Sichuan province. In a way they've been isolated, as much as one can be nowadays, and that's the way they like it. They have to break them of that mindset. They also are historically quite unruly. History matters more than time to the Chinese.

I had covid two weeks ago. It ran through damn near everyone in my family and circle of friends almost all at once. It was like an odd cold. Had a fever and I slept for a day and a half. It was a pleasant enough sleep with the aid of Dayquil and Nyquil. I'd be considered high risk since I'll be 77 next month.
Creating a lock-down panic is CCP authoritarian dumb. The lockdown will cause more problems and health issues than covid.

China’s zero Covid policy is dumb as frick. Just like Australia and New Zealand did. It’s a highly contagious virus in the jet age. You can’t stop it. All you can do is try and keep it from spiking and overwhelming your medical system. You have to let your population get exposed but slowly enough. Flatten the curve does not mean get rid of the curve.
Covid is now endemic. To maintain this policy, China will have to constantly lockdown and isolate itself from the rest of the world pretty much indefinitely. Destroy their economy and put their people through prolonged bullshite just because the almighty Chinese Communist Party just can’t admit they made a wrong decision. Typical with politicians. Happened here too but we didn’t take the zero Covid policy route and everything is cool now. China is still stuck in Feb 2020.

Seems like the Chinese people just want to live a normal life with a decent quality of life. The status quo of the CCP has been making that better, until lately.
The CCP knows their legitimacy lies in keeping the populace happy. It’s a damn shame that commies have hijacked China.

Think of Chyna as a massive prison. They just locked down one of their cell blocks.
They have so much power deaths are no big deal. Outside the CCP they truly don’t care about their people.
