If anyone seriously tries to make to Roseanne into a martyr after such stupidity like calling a former higher up in the Obama Admin an ape, they're a goddamn idiot who should not be taken seriously.
That said, the speed with which ABC dumped her show today does offer a window into the stranglehold political correctness has on the management at Disney. And it's scary as shite.

The irony in this is that the sky screaming liberals that are praising Roseanne’s show being canceled, are the same morons that were trashing the NFL for their decisions on the anthem protests. But of course, they’re too stupid to realize that it’s the same scenario - employers making decisions about what kind of behavior or speech by their employees is acceptable while representing the company.
The only real distinction is that ABC is terribly inconsistent in their decisions. And that is why they will have some backlash for this specific incident. If Roseanne needed to be canned, Joy Behar and The View should have been too.
