re: Brandon Tatum Interviews Nolan Wells’s Friend

I have watched all three episodes of the interviews with Warren. He seems sincere and everything he said jibes with what I know to be life around and on the water. Phones/wallets/keys/anything of value stays on the boat. That is simply the way it is. You lose your keys or your wallet or your phone on that island, it's gone.

One thing that I learned is that Warren, his parents and three friends went to the island early July 5 to look for Nolan. I remember Crump saying they didn't care enough about Nolan to go look for him.

As for the phone business, why are the family and its attorney alleging someone deleted stuff from the phone? Who would have Nolan's passcode? Not a single person outside of my wife knows my passcode. I doubt any of Nolan's friends have his. It is all so maddening.

Fiinally, as a person who grew up in Ocean Springs and still has family and friends there, it distresses me to no end to have folks like that POS Crump suggest that 2026 Ocean Springs, MS. is akin to 1960 Philadelphia, MS. It never has been like that and never will be.

The sooner that race-baiting pile of crap leaves the Coast, the better it will be, and I hope he never returns. Shame on the parents for bringing him into this and adding something to the mix that didn't need to be added.

I understand the parents of Wells are grieving the loss of their son, and I try to factor that in, but the way they are handling this is really sad. Bringing in Ben Crump and Sharpton, along with things they have said and insinuated, has put a large target on these kids.

They know how much they’ve divided Ocean Springs.

Biggest reveal in this interview is that there were people that camped out that night. I used to camp out there as a teenager. (Just never in July).

It’s possible someone did something to Wells. But it wasn’t his friends.

Tatum had done a good job with all of this. It infuriates me that the Ben Crumps of the world come in and act like Ocean Springs is some klan stronghold. They use the fact that many outside the Deep South have a view that racism is still rampant in this part of the world. I think this is a simple case of heat, alcohol, and strong currents leading to the loss of this young man. The truth is he could have drowned and been swept away with people all around him never even noticing. Children have drowned in pools before with dozens of people around them. Also, It’s important to remember that people drown in front of others all the time. Little kids drown in pools surrounded by adults every day. Drowning doesn’t always look like drowning.

Not to mention the theory that he stepped away from other people to possibly go to the bathroom. Or maybe he OD’ed/passed out and simply went under. There are dozens of plausible solutions yet some people go straight to the white bogey man.
