Why do you give a shite what happens in Brazil? Let the Brazilians clean up their own messes. It's none if our business.
Their agriculture industry is large enough now to have serious impacts on ours.
Especially with China controlling theirs.

Not true. He’s on a flight to the USA

Jair Bolsonaro lost and he's now serving a 27 year prison sentence for allegedly attempting to stage a coup.
yeah rest of his life is gone. i'd rather die fighting and going down in a hail of bullets or sneak out that shithole country. something needs to happen to lula and that judge.
f all these 3rd world banana republics.

I think he made it to the US safely. This guy reporting it is a former USAID employee and calls himself a colleague of Marco Rubio. Mexican lawyer guy, but with unofficial ties to the administration.

So none of this changes that.....unless we want to change it. We don't get that much from them on the agriculture end....OJ and coffee are the biggest things agrecultural. We've really not paid attention to them for decades, and both sides like it that way. Only reason this board cares is because Jair said he was a fan of Trump......He was just as crooked as Lula, just a little more flamboyant.

Why do you give a shite what I give a shite about? Mind your own frickin business. Do I tell you what you should think about or care about? No. Now frick off.

I'm not white knighting, I don't give a shite about what they do in their country. That's why America is seen in not such a good light. We poke our noses into things we have no business for reasons that our leaders cannot adequately explain. Let them tear up their own country for all I care.

You and I agree, but you can't tell me why we should even care that we should bother to waste dollars asking SEALS to go spring this dude. He ain't no George Washington, that's for sure

But his point is that Flavio wouldn't have broken them out of that orbit any more than his father did. Public statements/campaign rhetoric != reality as we saw with the elder Bolsonaro.
Copy that.
The world, US included, is in a war with progressivism to essentially maintain status quo. That is, we spend out political energy staving off further assaults on true liberty, and we call it 'winning' to merely tread water. Simp.y stated, winning has now become simply not losing ground. As a US example, we've closed the border to maintain status quo. No more than 5% of illegals will have been deported by term's end. Even if 100% were deported, then in reality we've gained nothing - back to square one again.
They are winning this war, we merely are delaying with no real sucesses, the inevitable.

This is the same judge that went after some of Elon Musk's X employees in Brazil over X's refusal to block the free speech of Brazilian citizens and the X posts of people in other countries posting about Brazil's political issues.
