I tried to think of another gov in La. history who was better. Came up with nothing. Then, I'm thinking...he may be the best governor in America today. Then, I thought he might be the best governor in the history of America. I can't think of a single thing he's done that I don't agree with.

I be wishing that he could serve another term.

Well, he's both supported and opposed Common Core...

You disagree with neither?

Never lived in Louisiana but I agree he's the best you've had in a long long time.

What does downvoting mean. I'm having enough problems with my chipping from 20 yards out.

I'm sorry zach but this just isn't the case. If he is the greatest than we have had some horrible governors.

edit: his interaction with higher education during his terms was horrible, maybe he couldn't do much with it but higher education took huge hits and he didn't seem to do much to change that.

Don't know if he is the greatest ever... but the damn bar wasn't set that high either.

He's better than anything that Louisiana has had in the last 40 years or so.

That said, that's about as impressive as beating Stevie Wonder at skeet shooting.

Mike Foster was much better than Jindal has been.

Kept government small. Avoided corporate welfare. Paid down debt. Made business reforms for all business.

Jindal hasn't done anything spectacular that I see.

His ethics reform is a joke and did nothing to reform ethics. He continued KBB's charter schools in New Orleans and that was good. He instigated a very limited voucher program and that was good but for as much hell as he caught he might as well had gone for a massive voucher program. He gave a lot of weather reports during the hurricane but Margeret Orr was better. He dramatically increased state debt. He spent at least every cent that came into the state budget instead of cutting and giving us tax breaks. He fought Stelly reform. His corporate welfare spending has set records and abused taxpayers.

What did he do????

You can't credit him with the economy given the changes in the oil and gas business now and then.

I guess he is a good governor because Zach says so and we all know Zach.

Heck Roemer was better and Treen certainly was. Think about the environment Treen had to work in--a powerful Democratic legislature that hated him. Jindal is working with the most Republican legislature since reconstruction and can't get nothing fundamentally changed.

I'm not familiar with each and every aspect of his governorship, but for anyone who's not happy with him, we will gladly trade Martin'Tax 'em 'til they die' O'Malley (who also has visions of running for President, Lord help us) for him.

When I was in Tuscaloosa this year, they started talking about Jindal. Said that he is the best thing to happen to LA in a long time. And besides Mike Foster, who I consider about equal with Jindal, he is. Obvious republicans, but they were all saying that they hope that he runs for president.

Say what you want about him, but the man is brilliant. This state has been nothing less than over prepared for any possible natural disaster that is headed our way. That is a good thing. He really cares about this state, IMO. Everyone has faults and when you're in his position, someone will always bash.

I would pay good money to see him debate Obama. It would be beautiful. Obama's TelePrompTer would explode.
