Is if there's no oil being drilled for gasoline, will there still be the byproduct needed to make plastic containers?

Nope. Or plastic and damn near everything else is about to get a lot more expensive.

It has been known for a long time the plastic pollution in the ocean all comes from Asia.

Ok, I’ll admit it. I use the plastic bags in the freezer to wrap things up or separate items to be frozen.
