I went to an NHL playoff game tonight. As the teams were out on the ice ready for the National Anthem, the PA mentioned George Floyd and went on about racism and equality and asked for a “moment of remembrance for those who have lost their lives” blah blah blah, I can’t remember what else because I was in shock. The Jumbotron had black lives matter up for a few seconds.

I wanted to walk out, but as the Star Spangled Banner was sung, the last several words of the song made me stay. This is truly the “land of the free”. There is no other country in the world where black, brown, white, yellow, and all other folk can recognize their fullest potential, as long as you follow the rules and put in a day of honest work. Keep this Marxist bullshite out of sports.

Surrounded by North American hockey fans, you probably were in a safe space where loudly letting your feelings be known wouldn't have been a risky endeavor.

Which venue?

I bet it wasn’t at the Florida panthers or TB lightning.

pretty sure most NHL teams play in big cities with their share of liberals who have the good jobs and can afford the tickets, and not the small towns

NHL on NBC did a "tribute" at 1st Intermission of that game.

Oddly, they didn't mention this was the longest George Floyd had gone without taking drugs for decades.

You left out the suburbs in your moronic take.

True...and my guess is that the conservative half attends hockey games while the liberal half stays home with two masks on.
