They’re “oppressed” because society (sometimes) holds them accountable for their actions, same as any other demographic.
There’s definitely a segment out there that believes that they should be immune from any consequences whatsoever because ancestors they never knew were held in bondage by other people they never knew 175 years ago.

We have watched them burn cities, kill business owners, and another killing of a woman that said "all lives matter".
So, it is more than a "maybe" for progessives.

Tensions in BR were running high because of the Alton Sterling mess and he was working extra duty outside Calvin’s Market the Wednesday before he was killed. I remember that because I grabbed a Coke out of the cooler and brought it to him, as a way of expressing my support and thanks. Imagine my shock when he was dead 5 days later.
