I'm sure that took courage to admit. I've had a somewhat opposite experience. I spent 19 years as a wedding Catholic. I now go to mass every Sunday, even if I'm on vacation, or if I went to a midweek or Saturday mass.

I hope you someday reconsider your faith. You're always welcome back.

Why has it taken this long? It should have been done years ago.

Seems to me, that, perhaps it’s a “chain of command” issue- that he could no longer abide. An “If you won’t- I will” situation. Not to mention, it often takes a while (for most of us) to do what we know God wants us to do.

I posted the following last week. I’m glad at least someone in the Catholic Church is responding to this bullshite.

I’m not Catholic….But you bring up a good point….why hasn’t the Catholic Church, loudly and publicly, excommunicated every political figure in favor of abortion?

He did not but he did say “bring the little children to me” and he meant in one piece.

Ah yes, the standard above the fray response from closet progressive lunatics trying to hide their true thoughts and feelings

I think the Episcopal Church completely did away with the concept of sin so she be at home there.

Episcopalians are about as Christian these days as Unitarians.

Perhaps the catholic church should repudiate their own pedophilic sins before casting stones

How any supposedly practicing Catholic could be pro-choice is mind boggling. It’s the main tenant of the Church when it comes to politics.

Demons can't partake in a Holy Sacrament.
So, either she isn't a demon or the sacrament isn't holy.

Soooooo. Should the Catholic church excommunicate politicans who support war, the death penalty, anti-poverty support measures, adultery, and racist behavior. Many conservative politicans would be in jeopardy. All of this being against the teachings of the Church amd Jesus himself.

Still canonizing JPII despite the whole petty child molestation thing though right? Still serving those priests communion and hiding some of them and celebrating your walled city upon incalculable wealth you refuse to share.

The first time the first priest was caught molesting a child they should’ve been publicly excommunicated and executed.

Instead they created a global network of pedophiles using their massive hoarded stolen wealth to finance and cover it up.

The Pope and Roman Catholic Church is not the end all be all of God’s presence on earth any more than Caiaphas and the Pharisees were.

If Jesus came back today the Roman Catholic Church would attempt to crucify him upside down in the Vatican.

When a highly public figure is out in the open claiming to be of the faith but encouraging an entire country of people to directly participate in evil, the leader of the faith has no choice but to publicly denounce said figure.
Imagine if an NFL player consistently said that they loved the league and then ranted on how the league was rigged and was fake. The NFL would have no choice but to address it publicly.
