Yeah I mean you aren’t Catholic if you are an atheist. You should reconsider your atheism though, even if not leaping back to Catholicism.

As for this Pelosi thing, I think it’s long past due. This Bishop even tried to converse with her about it beforehand, and she had nothing to do with it. I also note that he’s mad she repeatedly cited her Catholicism while advocating to codify Roe. I get why that’s a particular pinch point.

And somewhere in heaven, a star was born, a new light is shining in the darkness.

He also didn’t say the Bible was authoritative. What’s your point?

Why has it taken this long? It should have been done years ago.

Major corruption in the church in DC.

This guy won’t touch any of them in DC.

Wilton Cardinal Gregory is the seventh Archbishop of Washington.

She has also publicly claimed to be a devout Catholic. She has the choice, either repent and seek forgiveness and cease supporting abortion and she can return to Communion or she can become an Episcopalian and receive communion. I think the Episcopal Church completely did away with the concept of sin so she be at home there.

When somebody keeps referring to themselves as a "devout Catholic" and nothing about their life espouses that, then you get called out by the Bishop.

The Bible. We are first to correct fellow believers in private and then, if not corrected, do it in public so that the person needing correcting will not damage the walk of others or do harm to the the Bride of Christ.

What does this have to do with the topic?
But since you went there, are most protestant denominations also anti-abortion?

It makes sense to me. How devout can she be if she advocates for abortion which is in violation of the Church's teachings?

The Bible is anti abortion, so any true Christian faith is anti abortion. Abortion dates back to King Herod, when he killed all male babies under 2, so that he might kill Jesus as a baby.

The comment was directed at one of the responses, the poster said he was atheist because his parents were catholic. Was just giving him an option to return.

I'll be interested in hearing the pope's response to the mess this creates. The world will be watching this one.
