God these people need to be purged from this country, and quickly.

In two presidential elections since 2000, including the most recent one in which Hillary Clinton won 2.8 million more votes than her opponent, the winner of the popular vote did not win the election because of the distorting effect of the outdated Electoral College," Cohen said. "Americans expect and deserve the winner of the popular vote to win office.

There are members of that House who most likely think if it passes the House then it will be law.

Somebody should dig up some old tweets

I bet they do, I mean, if it passes the dem house then the bill got “the popular vote” right!

Old tweets are fun, they bring up all kinds of shite
But this is a bad look for the Dems, grandstanding for no purpose but divisiveness
I don’t want to live in a Republic where a few coastal cities decide the president for the entire country

It's pretty dumb and so is ever saying publicly that you think the same way
Posted on 1/4/19 at 12:23 am to supatigah
Fdamn. Buckle up. This is going to be one helluva ride for the next couple of years.

If and when the electoral college is ever eliminated, it's honestly time to split into two separate countries.
I know, together we stand- divided we fall- and all that jazz... But I will not live my life under rule of Muzzies, figs, trannies and pedos from the liberal coasts. I'd rather be dead, and that's GOD's truth.

Why are you laughing? This is how it all starts and we lose our Republic. Float a crazy idea, people laugh, float it again and again until it becomes a movement. When they gain control of the Senate and Presidency, then what?

Was that like agenda #1 on the Dems retaking the House list?
Posted on 1/4/19 at 12:33 am to supatigah
Let's see if this even makes it out of committee.

This is only the beginning. It's only a joke until the dumb American populace starts to think it's not such a bad idea. It just takes time to plant the seeds.

That's not the point. They know it won't go anywhere right now. This is about getting the idea into the mainstream, then continuing to make the idea more commonplace. Slowly, people will start to accept it as a good thing because it will have been repeated over and over. All of you are discounting how easily influenced the average American is.

except they are never going to get 2/3rds of the states to give away their power the EC provides them

A specific example is the takeover of schools and the mental health community (see Transgenderism no longer being classified as a mental illness). It takes time, but they'll get it done. The Dems long game crushes the Republicans.
