Virtually every prominent Never Trumper is against this strategy! It is cynical and against muh conservative principles!
Whose side are you on, anyway? Bill Kristol has been a leading conservative voice for much longer than Donald Trump!

If Bill Kristol opposes it then it's probably the best thing to do to help reelect Donald Trump.
Besides, bernie as the nominee may well lead to the GOP retaking the House. Biden or Bloomberg as the nominee may lead to the House remaining in the control of pelosi/schiff/nadler.

The Weekly Standard ended last year I think. I think he's a political contributor for ABC and he probably does freelance editorial work for papers. Kristol's opinion mattered for so long because the Republican Party was co-opted by neocons to the point that Pat Buchanan and Ron Paul were viewed as kooks.
