Then you need to call Schumer’s office, because that’s a non-starter with him.

Short of FOXNews showing a tape of Trump grabbing a whole gaggle of Ukranian broads by the pxssy, the Senate will never vote to impeach. The end has been decided. So why prolong this circus?

Dersh would make sure that is not impeachable.

Uhhhhhh okay. I mean....maybe you should consider Sen. Cassidy's own words--referenced above--rather than the fake sentences you made up to start this thread?

Those words were anything but persuasive. He’s straddling the fence...trying to avoid criticism. If he’s not willing to take a public stance now, that tells me everything I need to know.

If you give an inch, they'll take a mile. Allow one witness and it'll blow the frick up. They'll scream that Bolton's testimony necessitates that we call more witnesses. They already want Mick Mulvaney, if you give them Bolton, it only empowers them to pray on that GOP's lack of a backbone. It'll drag on and on and on while it's all sorted out.

I'm so sick of Republicans trying to "play fair" to assuage the whiney arse Democrats. It'll never be enough, the media will never love you. The Democrats made this nasty, let's play by their rules and give them a big frick you at every corner, just like they do when they're running the show.

Cassidy has supported Pres. Trump for years now. Maybe you're new to Louisiana. Is that the case?

I’ve lived in Louisiana all my life. This let the process play out is not the response I would expect from a guy who is a pro-trump as you say. Hell, this is bigger than Trump. We can’t let the assholes win. Maybe Dr. Cassidy skipped class the day they taught about the spine.

HIs waffling puts him past the point of no return. I don't care if he later recognizes which way the winds are blowing and changes his stance. He has revealed himself.

I can't really disagree with any of this. I just know I've heard Sen. Cassidy praise Pres. Trump and vice versa many times with my own ears.

I wish I was the one doing the talking as a U.S. Senator, because I'd scream from on top of a mountain that Trump is not getting impeached. But that's not likely. Because I don't have a mountain. And I'm on a message board.

Well talk is cheap. He’s not helping himself at all with the position he has taken. This has been a bullshite process from day one in the House.

Yet when faced with having to take a stand during an obviously politically motivated impeachment, he's going to allow the charade to continue.

I've got news for you. He was probably lying back when he spoke previously because he thought it would benefit him politically. He needs to be removed from office.

I emailed Cassidy and Kennedy a few days ago asking them to consider hearing witnesses.

Both responded with form letters back. Kennedy’s sounded more open-minded while not committing to anything. Cassidy’s was much a more hardline stance against any new witnesses.

Seeing that he is now considering hearing witnesses, at least more than he once was, I like to think I played a small part in that.

I never said that we should call witnesses. This is a mischaracterization of my remarks and are second-hand. It is not from me. Our process is that we will decide on witnesses at the end of questioning.

This is the politically correct thing to say. To outright say "frick the Dems I'm voting against witnesses" would only be used by the Dems and MSM as evidence of a Senate cover-up. That's how I'm going to view it...unless he votes otherwise...then it's time for his replacement.

I'm not here tryin to argue with you...I agree 100 percent it's important to take a stand against this idiotic impeachment charade. If I have to choose between believing Bill Cassidy or believing Chris Wallace and hearsay from the Washington Post, then I'm going with Cassidy, who has consistently been supportive of Pres. Trump this entire term.

Cassidy himself said his words were distorted: Breitbart article on Cassidy. After the last year or so why on earth would people here start trusting Chris Wallace to provide decent reporting?

Not shocked WaPo spews lies to screw things up

The "source" in the original article above was "...an official with direct knowledge of the lunch who spoke on the condition of anonymity to describe the private discussion."

In other words, the Washington Post and later Chris Wallace "heard from a dude who might've heard another dude say something during lunch but we're really not sure if he said it...BUT because it's sensational we're definitely going to publish it."

Curious, why wouldn't you want witnesses

One, it was the Houses’ responsibility to call witnesses if they wanted and not the Senate. Second, the entire impeachment is based on unconstitutional charges and is a farce. Trump should have already been acquitted by the Senate.
