Okay, and Kamala has trotted out that same tired high school-level poetry at every speaking event for 4 years. What's your point?

Point was to LSUFAITHFUL - he said if he said if Trump mentioned Black Jobs at rallies it would be offensive

Well - he did it at rallies

What the frick is offensive about this? Black workers compete with illegal immigrants for jobs more so than other racial groups.

Twisties is a common gymnastics issue. She competed with them before based on your articles. Why before the biggest team event of her life did that stop her from competing?

Biles is far from the only gymnast to experience the twisties, with former USA teammate Aleah Finnegan revealing that she first suffered from it as a child: “I've had the twisties since I was 11. I cannot imagine the fear of having it happen to you during competition.”

While Laurie Hernandez, a teammate of Biles in 2016, also experienced it: “I’ve had the twisties before. Hated it - so much. It's painful. It actively makes you feel like you're not the caliber of athlete that you are.”

It would be more offensive to say it the “politically correct” way. Illegals are taking jobs from the uneducated citizens which has a huge proportion of people of color.

That's absolute bull shite.

It's both hilarious and sad these morons are so mad at Trump for trying to do something for their people that they twist his words to be an insult, but have no problem with "you ain't black" potato in chief.

We’ve heard “victim mentality” for so long that I don’t think it registers anymore, but there are a whole bunch of people now (a majority? Plurality?) whose identity is victimhood.

It would be shocking if they didn’t twist his words into something they find offensive.

Pitchers in baseball get taken out every game. Are they all quitters?

Good thing they let her come back considering they just won the Team Gold medal.

Is not a voluntary act. You need to look up the definition of quit and quitter. You obviously never played any type of competitive team sports. Quitting is the worst thing you can do.

She was unable to perform and could have hurt herself. Same exact scenario for a pitcher in baseball who asks to be taken out in the first inning because he doesn’t feel right.

No in World Series they push through. Like Curt Schilling in the sock game.

Ok so she’s going through the twisties. Something gymnastics agree is a legit thing and is awful.

You’re saying she should have just competed anyway, results and injury be damned? Even when your team has people to replace you if needed?

She is a horrible role model for quitting on her team and country because of her FeFes. I don’t care how good she is. It’s disgusting how the media can shape a narrative.

I don’t agree with her black job post (see my comment on that).

But, you are way off base here. She started having spatial awareness issues at the Olympics which caused her to be unable to perform her tricks. Other gymnasts have substantiated that this can be an issue. She literally could not do them anymore at that time. Any attempt to proceed anyway could have, at worst killed her, and at best, made the team lose if she would have gone out and tried to perform and gotten dogshit scores.

Her stepping aside allowed the rest of her teammates to step up and win individual medals on individual events that they would not have won had she been capable of competing.

Simone Biles won individual all around gold, gold on vault, gold on floor and bronze on beam and led the team to a team gold in 2016. I think she proved 4 years prior to her withdrawal in 2021 that she could handle the pressure. I also think she proved this year she could handle the pressure. Thus, I think we should give her the benefit of the doubt in 2021 that she was having spatial awareness issues and it wasn’t a pressure thing.

Yes because that is what athletes and teammates do. Something you have zero concept of obviously. It’s soft.

Weird, cause I seem to remember seeing her push through just fine with a hurt leg this year. Some injuries you can push through. Some you can’t.

Teammates put the team first. Staying in when she couldn’t perform would have been selfish. Not to mention she could have seriously injured herself or worse.

Context matters. If he would have said that illegals are taking black jobs at a general admission event, then yes, this would be offensive. He was talking to the association of black journalists. So he’s telling them that illegals are talking your jobs. Had he been at a Hispanic event he would have said illegals are taking Hispanic jobs.

He did say they are taking black and Hispanic jobs.

What he absolutely can’t say is they are taking white jobs. That would receive way more backlash as being racist.

Would be interested to see video of this if true. I’m just surprised this hadn’t been dragged out prior to now then.

And if you are right then I agree with the original point I was responding to. Would be better just to say illegals are stealing American jobs.

While I agree that many of the jobs illegals are stealing are lower paying/lower skill that could help lower socio economic folks including blacks. He’s a politician and needs to be mindful of his messaging and how folks in that community would take that,

I stand by the original point though that there’s nothing wrong with how he said it at an event geared toward black journalists. Nothing wrong with tailoring your points to your audience
