I’m going to need links to both of those. The first seems like an after the fact excuse. I also find it hard to believe that a gymnast has a medical condition that affects her being a gymnast.
But also even if the medical issue exist, she was scared to lose because of it. Still is soft AF.

Context matters. If he would have said that illegals are taking black jobs at a general admission event, then yes, this would be offensive. He was talking to the association of black journalists. So he’s telling them that illegals are talking your jobs. Had he been at a Hispanic event he would have said illegals are taking Hispanic jobs. If he was at a union event, he would have said illegals are taking union jobs. If he would have been in Texas he would have said illegals are taking Texas jobs.

So were her teammate that she quit on. Her teammates were abused by the same guy.
Twisties is a common gymnastics issue. She competed with them before based on your articles. Why before the biggest team event of her life did that stop her from competing?

She was hurting her team and could have seriously injured herself. Sorry, I’m not labeling her soft and a quitter for that. Especially considering everything else she’s done both before and after Tokyo.
