She began coughing day before New Year's Eve. She's stubborn and wouldn't go to the Dr because "it's just a cough". I told her, "if it's covid though, and it turns into pneumonia, you're probably going to die" (I'm pretty blunt like that IRL, honest to a fault). She said "I'm not getting covid, I'm vaccinated".

The next day was worse. We loaded her up and took her to the ER but she refused to go inside. Should have just drug her in kicking and screaming.

Following day She was wiped out and ready to go. 2 hours later after testing they admitted her with covid double pneumonia. She has other major health issues. Your prayers are appreciated.

Only advice I have on this particular circumstance, is, don't be stubborn and don't frick around and wait to get tested if you think you're getting sick and you're in a high-risk category.

The wife and I both tested positive too, we caught it from her. It's the second time having covid for both of us. It's rough, but we've been far more sick before. Pretty sure our son and daughter that still live at home both have it now too.

We don't know the strain, just "covid positive". Assuming it's Omicron because it's incredibly contagious.

Were you told if there is anything that could have been taken early on to help minimize the pneumonia? And what are they giving her now to try to help?

I'm trying to be prepared to know what seems to be working. I've got the vit d, zinc, vit d, ivermectin, hcq, ny/DayQuil all ready to go in case me or anyone close needs it. Just good hearing what people are seeing.

I am unvaccinated and had it last July (assume the delta strain).

I know about 12-13 people who are vaccinated and are currently covid positive. None are having bad symptoms and are quarantining as they should.

But to say its the unvaccinated are getting sick is just bullshite. What I am seeing is the ones who got the jab are the ones getting sick.
