Biden signals to aides that he would serve only a single term

Former Vice President Joe Biden’s top advisers and prominent Democrats outside the Biden campaign have recently revived a long-running debate whether Biden should publicly pledge to serve only one term, with Biden himself signaling to aides that he would serve only a single term.
While the option of making a public pledge remains available, Biden has for now settled on an alternative strategy: quietly indicating that he will almost certainly not run for a second term while declining to make a promise that he and his advisers fear could turn him into a lame duck and sap him of his political capital.
quote:
According to four people who regularly talk to Biden, all of whom asked for anonymity to discuss internal campaign matters, it is virtually inconceivable that he will run for reelection in 2024, when he would be the first octogenarian president.
“If Biden is elected,” a prominent adviser to the campaign said, “he’s going to be 82 years old in four years and he won’t be running for reelection.”

He won't win , he can thank his son.

He has to win a delegate first. He's never won one before in his two previous tries. Even Jeb Bush cobbled together 3 delegates in 2016.

Pretty much admitting to me he's unqualified.
He'd be throwing away the incumbent advantage in 2024 for Dems for no reason.
Historically speaking it's very difficult and rare to unseat a President, they almost always get a 2nd term.

Average life expectancy is 76.
Uncle Joe is 77.
Odds are against him.

Fortunately for REAL Americans, no one will ever know, since he will never sniff the White House again.

I've already predicted that if he won he would step down and give the presidency to his VP Stacy Abrams

Vote for me because I'm a desperate senile old coot is such a great campaign strategy!

He won't get the 1st term, so it's irrelevant.

This is even more scary. He plans on doing enough damage in 4 years that he won't be re-electable, or there won't be any more elections.

Biden may be "moderate" but if hes elected the radical dems will run him over tenfold. Hes too weak to keep the crazies at bay.

Picking Stacy Abrams just proves how irrelevant his "moderate" stances are. Hes surrounded by radical sharks.

That’s the strangest bargaining position.
Vote for me this time, and I won’t run again?

How does him serving only one term make him a more attractive candidate for the Democrats?
Kind of defeats the purpose of having an incumbent's advantage, no?

I don't think there is such a thing as a lame duck Dem President anymore. We see that DC is nothing but scum Dem operatives under every rock.
