So how does it not make sense to people that a $300,000 house in the suburbs is only worth $150,000 in the hood next to 900 section 8 units????

I wonder if black people are going to have to pay higher property taxes once it is determined that their homes were appraised at half the actual value?

Black people see these initiatives as for everyone but them because of the use of the term "minority." So, if it doesn't have Black, Black, Blackety Black all over it Black people, for the most part, will just say this is for mainly White women and everyone else.

Because the constant blaring rap music, gunshots and sirens is just beautiful background noise. Who wouldn’t want to live in that utopia?

Instead of pissing away cash on loans that will be defaulted on.

Just reinvest in the urban areas. tear down old houses, put in newer ones, etc.

All that happens when you force people into others communities, and specifically with blacks, is that crime rises, and white flight happens.

Feels like this is a solution in search of a problem.

What are the ways home ownership directly leads to generational wealth for white people?

#1 No house payments once mortgage note is paid off during prime earning years.

#2 Equity on home sales.

#3 Inheritance.

#4. Access to HELOC loans to start or expand businesses.

Only 44% of black Americans are homeowners, so the lion's share of these benefits don't even affect the other 56%.

And higher appraisals would hurt many marginal black homeowners who's escrow or tax payments would be equally juiced to match the appraisal. Aren't there frequent articles in The Advocate of gentrification exploiting black citizens who can't afford to live in the "family home" because of increased taxes? This is no different.

Only people this helps, if we're being 100% honest, are mega-corps like Berkshire Hathaway who can buy up a load of houses in shithole poverty-stricken neighborhoods, get the appraisals juiced +10-20%, then sell to developers at a massive profit.

Does this mean we will be getting 10-20 new Juicy Crab restaurants?

If you dont want to be poor:

1. Stay in school and make good grades.
2. Dont have kids until you are in a financial position to support them.
3. Dont do drugs.
4. Get a job, show up to work on time, dressed appropriately, do more than you are asked, Learn more than just what your job requires. Become an employee who can do more than the other employees.

Quick question is biden the most racist president ever. Everything he does hurts white people and give blacks unfair advantages. Fix the housing for everyone not just porch monkeys

So if you raise the value of a black persons home and a black person wants to buy that home... arent you now inflating the price for the black person?

And wouldnt it also raise the taxes on the property? Something blacks are bitching about in New Orleans because of white liberals gentrifying?

I want Boos or Peckerhead to take a shot at this but this isn't low hanging fruit. They prefer threads like Trump will be back in August. I don't blame them. It's a path of least resistance strategy. Par for the prog course.

He’s out there talking about red lining? So we need to ban what’s already been banned for like 50+ years? God he’s such an idiot. You also can’t force appraisers to overvalue someone’s home based off the color of the homeowners skin. The value is based off nearby COMPS you big moron and nothing to do with the homeowners race.

Sooo, this never crossed your mind during the debates?

The Green New Deal was a blue print, not a doctrine. Conservatives knew exactly what was coming and called out Joe for it during the debates. He denied the GND but all along knew he was planning exactly the same thing but even more over the top but just worded differently. This past 6 months has been a progressive dream.

Biden's plan focuses on two key creators of wealth: homeownership and small business ownership.

Here is WeeWee's 3 steps which the federal government can take to help minorities build wealth and promote homeownership and small businesses:

1. Stop supporting organizations who destroy minority owned businesses during mostly peaceful protests.

2. Stop spending money like a meth addict with a winning scratch off ticket. The federal government's deficit spending is out of control. Eventually the federal government is going to have to raise taxes to attempt to bring in more revenue, cut spending, or do nothing and let inflation continue. Letting inflation continue is not going to help promote homeownership or help small businesses, and since raising taxes usually leads to less revenue in the long run; cutting spending is the best way to boost the value of a dollar.

3. Stop paying people to not work. Business cannot make it if they can't afford to hire anyone. When people have money and the extra free time from not having to work eventually they are going to get into some bad habits (i.e. drugs) and those habits lead to crime. Which hurts home values and businesses.

To all the USPS employees that are spying on this website feel free to pass on my suggestions the Big Guy.
