"If you watch Fox News, you are living on a different planet than you are if you are listening to NPR.”'

This is true but, NPR makes news to fit their narrative. I like the planet I live on thank you so much and with all due respect sir.

Other than he generalized that if you watch Fox News and don't adhere to the liberal NPR view then you are ignorant of facts.

One can watch Fox and still know the facts.

He's basically dividing up the country and using the old argument that if you don't agree with me with you are an idiot. It's a prog tactic used several times here today in fact.

Everyone doing political commentary make things fit their narrative -- neither liberals or conservatives have a monopoly on that.

Hell, the Fox News link (and OP's commentary) in this post is doing exactly that, since that part of the interview talks about confirmation bias and the impacts of social media algorithms' tendency to surface only those ideas and beliefs that are like our own. No one called anyone "deplorable" or was derogatory toward anyone else (although the liberal audience had their own opinions, I'm sure).

So, he now agrees with the idea of "alternative facts" that the liberal media criticized when the Trump admin used the term?

Deplorable is such a nice derogatory comment, don't you agree?

I mean...if you spend your time watching Cable News to have your views confirmed you have problems.

Why is it that all their terms are not racist or bigoted?

Cause they never apologize or back down. Spineless Republicans fold like a card table.

That's why they hate Trump so much

One of the few times Obama is correct. NPR has a clear liberal/progressive slant and Fox has a clear conservative slant.

What is wrong with him saying if you watch Fox News you are living in a different planet than if you listen to NPR?

I have heard a gazillion times on this board that NPR and the other "liberal" media are different than Fox News.

He is only saying what has been said on this board.

They have reflexive Obama derangement syndrome. Much like the skyscreamers have with Trump. It’d be comical if it weren’t so sad and harmful to our political discourse.

Only Hitler attacked the media. Right leftists?

Right??

Love the fact they're still bitching about Fox news while completely ignoring how bad its gotten over at CNN and MSNBC the past year and a half.

He's not wrong. I remember listening as Tom Ashbrook started to admonish a Trump supporter on air then caught himself.

NPR really went off the rails during the last election cycle, which is such a shame.

The last mainstream source of integrity in the news media fell. Now it's partisan hackery all the way down.
