Physical barriers CERTAINLY have a valid role in overall control of the border. They are quite cost-efffective in metropolitan areas and high-traffic corridors.
Some of us just do not think they are the best solution for large stretches of the bordr.

The point is that even the "moderate" voices of the left like Pelosi are saying walls are immoral. The more progressive members of the party are merely acting on the precedent she laid forth, but doesn't have the balls to back up
