If you call war genocide, than yes. The Indians kept killing everyone traveling west. Andrew Jackson waged war for this reason,

You make it seem as if the United States has always existed in its present form from the Atlantic to the Pacific and roving bands of natives were waylaying travelers within those established borders. That’s disingenuous. When he was president, we basically had east of the Mississippi and the relatively newly acquired Louisiana Territory which was still largely wild a few decades later. Those travelers were settlers encroaching upon and harvesting from areas that natives still considered theirs. It wasn’t a war as much as it was the theft of land through genocide of indigenous peoples. Though that’s how it worked back then, there’s no need to further justify it today by saying “he was just protecting US travelers.”

The uninformed always act like Jackson had no reason to kill Indians, which is blatant ignorance. Think it’s a coincidence more Americans started heading west after he won that war?

Again, his “reason” was removal of the native population to allow for the growth of the US. Of course more Americans settled west once the lands were cleared of prior inhabitants.

No one believes Jackson “had no reason” to kill natives, nor are they uninformed if they understand his motive and disagree with his methods.

being a commander in the field vs the natives or Mexicans was a campaign selling point for many winning candidates.

This choice is the epitome of trump vs decency.

Tears?

In 1838 and 1839, as part of Andrew Jackson's Indian removal policy, the Cherokee nation was forced to give up its lands east of the Mississippi River and to migrate to an area in present-day Oklahoma. The Cherokee people called this journey the "Trail of Tears," because of its devastating effects.

Exactly he instead of using troops and WMDs; he used capitalism and defense spending as WEDs (weapons of economic destruction).

Lincoln did not whip anyone's arse. His generals you could maybe argue.

He did take away the powers from the states and expanded the power of the federal government. That makes him awesome I guess
