Bernie's plan to pay for the Green New Deal

Raising $3.085 trillion by making the fossil fuel industry pay for their pollution, through litigation, fees, and taxes, and eliminating federal fossil fuel subsidies.
Through litigation = suing businesses = counting your chickens before they've hatched.
Generating $6.4 trillion in revenue from the wholesale of energy produced by the regional Power Marketing Administrations. This revenue will be collected from 2023-2035, and after 2035 electricity will be virtually free, aside from operations and maintenance costs.
Is Bernie going to play salesman? I thought he liked giving everything away.
Reducing defense spending by $1.215 trillion by scaling back military operations on protecting the global oil supply.
That might put a wrinkle in plan #2, no?
Collecting $2.3 trillion in new income tax revenue from the 20 million new jobs created by the plan.
Sounds like the middle class to me. Trump's economy is already showing that we have more jobs than qualified people.
Raising $2 trillion in revenue by making large corporations pay their fair share of taxes.
Through litigation? What is that going to do to wages and job creation?
By averting climate catastrophe we will save: $2.9 trillion over 10 years, $21 trillion over 30 years and $70.4 trillion over 80 years.
This sounds like the ramblings of a 15 year old in a High School Econ class.
If we do not act, the U.S. will lose $34.5 trillion by the end of the century in economic productivity.
Like how I save money when I buy something I don't need and don't want, but it was on sale, so really I made money on it.

His plan is to shut these industries down while relying on their revenue to pay for his social programs?
I can't believe these retards are allowed to be in charge of anything.

So he's counting of litigation that he may well could lose.
Solid plan.
Solid plan.

Bernie nor his entire base realize how many products every day Americans and people across the globe use from hydrocarbons.
Getting CO2 cars off the road is one thing shutting down the entire industry or penalizing it like this is catastrophic. None of the products can be made from other resources.
Never understood why nobody ever starts the argument there.

I would love to see how they come up with these estimates.

Hey I can make stuff up too. That is some weak arse shite.
So he is going to have the bureaucracies take over the energy industry just like Castro took over the sugar industry. Yes I am sure they energy folks will just go right along with that like a mafia shakedown.
You are turning the water to boil way too quickly here and people are going to jump out of the pot. But I get it because he is old and doesn't have that much time.

Let's not forget that this is the same group of people who decided to ban straws based on some numbers that a 10 year old found on Google and extrapolated for a science project at school.

It honestly boggles my mind how anyone would willingly vote for this dude

It makes sense when you actually see the people that support him

The same GND that exactly ZERO Democrats from both houses of Congress voted to approve. The same GND that even the authors voted against?

It is like his plan to tax half the wealth of billionaires away over 15 years.
His entire plan relies on a static amount of finances, but he is reducing the amount significantly just by acting, therefore the finances aren’t static.
Anyone who supports his financial plans should not be allowed to vote.

It's fricking scary how out of touch these people are with reality
Posted on 2/25/20 at 10:29 am to BeNotDeceivedGal6_7
Three trillion dollars is the net income and subsidies for the fossil fuel industry across like 50 years
Where the frick does he think that three trillion dollars is going to come from? They dont have three trillion dollars period.
